About Don
I've been taking things apart for as long as I can remember. I always wanted to see how different things worked and how I might I fix it if it was broken.
With a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology (BS-EET) and 40+ yrs experience working for companies on all kinds of different electrical motors, products, etc, I had an "aha" moment in 2012 when I found a broken iPhone 3gs at a garage sale and thought I could fix it. After going home and doing some
research, I went back to the garage sale to get the phone. Although the phone was gone, it started my journey into wanting to repair phones. I soon joined a startup company, iCracked, to fix iPhones as a side hustle. Consistently ranked in the Top 20 out of the 5000 iCracked repair techs, I soon got so busy that I quit my regular job, left iCracked, and went full time in the phone repair business as "Don the phone guy".
